ABOUT DIANA

     Several years ago,

Diana earned the title of Mrs. Oklahoma.  Upon the completion of this year of activity, she returned to school to earn three degrees:  A.A. in Journalism and Broadcasting, a B.S. in Recreational Sciences and a M.S. in Educational Psychology.  Between her family, work and university studies, it took fourteen years to finish her college academics.

     Diana's professional career

included all three areas of course disciplines.  The last of which (M.S.), she served as a school counselor for both elementary and high school.  While counseling students in the lower grades, she used art as a form of communication.  "I would ask the students to draw something ...anything at all.  In return, I would sketch their portrait." She says of that experience, "Both sides of the counseling table were enriched.  I would get an insight into their thinking and emotional health through the study of their drawings.  The students would leave with a portrait of themselves to take home to their parents; while, I was left with critical information to better equip the counseling connection.  This method proved to be quite rewarding in many ways.  I feel art forms provide a window to the inner workings of an individual's personal expression and soul; thus, many students drew very interesting and (sometimes) funny drawings."

For ten year,

Diana produced a Celtic music radio program in which she did the research, writing, interviewing artists, hosting and the final digital editing for air-play. 'CELTIC MOODS with Diana Lane', won four International Communicator Awards in the Cultural Division.  She is currently the female voice on BIG BAND SATURDAY NIGHT with Alan Lambert, which streams on 89.5 HD-1 www.kwgs.com.  She says through all her artistic interest, the art form of music, served as the underlying base of inspiration, whether she was studying voice, dance, the visual arts, writing or taking photographs of the unseen.

Diana says of her experience with the 'unseen' ...,

"Since 2002, I have been privileged to photograph the realm beyond the veil. The knowing of when to 'snap' these unusual images developed from a 'feeling' coupled with a 'knowing'. I learned to listen and respond, as my camera became my constant companion, regardless of the time of day or night when the 'knowing' came over me."  To her surprise with each passing year, her photography seems to capture more of the unseen realm that is not rarely seen by the naked eye.  "In the early days," she adds, "I used throw away cameras.  When I changed to digital, everything became more intense,  colorful and glorious."

In Diana's words of how it all started.......

It happened during one of those, 'moments in time' when a door seemed to open into another realm.  It was the final two days of a job related seminar in Calgary, Canada in 2001.  A friend of mine felt we needed a break from our intense classes and offered to drive us to Banff, Canada.  After spending the afternoon and early evening visiting the quaint resort, we left for our three hour drive back to our hotel in Calgary.  As darkness dropped it's cloak over the snow covered highway, we knew not to take the drive lightly.

Halfway down the mountain,

I encouraged my friend to stop for a snowball fight and a chance to gaze at the starlit sky.  The air was crisp, clear and very cold.  The play in the snow had left us both damp and quite chilled, causing her to hastily retreat into our rented vehicle.  But not me! I was totally enchanted by the color of the Indigo night sky.  I found myself lost in a time warp, as I stood beneath it in wonder.  It provided a dark canvas backdrop for the vast array of stars that appeared brighter than daylight.  I'd never seen anything like it.  All four corners of the horizon were filled with a glorious starlight that took my breath away.  I was transfixed by this magical vision.  Inside of me, I sensed a mysterious awakening; and, I wished to stay... forever.  I knew then, it would influence everything I did, for the rest of my life.

Upon the return to my home state,

a few days later, I began to notice a strange and tingling sensation within.  It stirred my entire being.  I called it the 'inner knowing' or 'premonition' of what would soon happen.  I sensed the spirit realm was lifting a veil between my everyday life in the physical world, into the unseen realm of the spirit world.  Intuitively, I knew it was important to heed these messages.

In the early days,

I used disposable cameras. My first significant picture, took place while my husband and I were vacationing in New Mexico in July, 2002. I found this photographic adventure to be more exciting with each new picture I snapped.  When I switched to digital, with it's computer download advantage, the images revealed more happenings within the spirit world.  This was far more than my disposable cameras had produced. I saw things I'd never seen before. I felt, I had been gifted by the spirit world, as image after image brought new revelations begging to be analyzed and shared.
